The Future is so Bright, We Gotta....

WEAR SHADES!!

Can you tell I was having fun with my camera? Wondering if it was at someone else's expense? I hope not!! It was not my intention to torture...just capture my cutie(s). Kobie just happened to be sitting by too closely watching, and I got crafty!! I THINK he still loves me!!
I enjoy photography (pictures) and I wish I had some talent with it...but I guess as many pictures as I take, maybe I will at least get lucky with it once in a while. Sure do love my digital camera. What did we do without?? Film seems so prehistoric, doesn't it?

Artist in the Making?

Andy has become a little artist. He enjoys drawing pictures for most everyone. Sometimes he even gets angry when it doesn't turn out like he thinks it should. Way too much pressure on a 3-year-old. But, I enjoy his determination and try my best to encourage him. One thing I keep telling both of my boys is: "listen, if you are not having fun....stop what you are doing!"

Life is like that. And I believe that if you are miserable at something, maybe you should reconsider! Stop what you are doing and ask yourself, is this necessary? Can it be eliminated? And, most importantly, am I glorifying Jesus through this? If not, maybe you too, should stop!

This is a copy of Andy's recent picture of mommy. I know...it is almost exact!! And here is what he said about this picture:

"This is you mommy. You are getting your haircut. And you got your arm cut off. The hair-cutting person looked away, and then cut your arm off. She thought your hair was done, and, and, and she just cut your arm off. But she forgot to cut that part of the hair. And you were getting ready to fall off of the chair you were sitting in."

Weekend Accomplishments at our House

Please excuse me as I would like to brag a little. I hope I don't sound prideful, but I AM a mama. No, my children aren't super stars to anyone but their dad and I, but let me share their weekend stardom with you!! Besides, who else will I share it with?

My little girl is not only moving, but now has decided to STAND too. She turned 8-months on Saturday and pulled to stand!! I can't believe it. She is growing so fast!

My mom taught her to put her hands up and say she is "SO big." And she will do it for me occasionally! And look, I even caught it on camera. Nana was so proud to get this picture!! So, I guess she might be a super star for Nana too!! ;o)
Nate is my basketball pro!! On Saturday he scored a whopping 14 points for his team. That is 14 out of 18 points scored for the team!! Pretty impressive for a little 6-year-old, huh? His Popi was there and he said that it sure helps Nate that he is almost a head taller than the other children. So, you go Nate and use your height to your advantage!! You might not always be the tallest!!

Sorry I don't have any pictures to share of Andy-boy! He doesn't want his picture taken these days! But, do let me say he is still on my superstar list! 3-year-old fits and all!! ;o)

Snow Day

We got SNOW today. About 6-7 inches worth. What a treat...especially since it snow-bound my mama. She is here visiting and was supposed to leave today, but couldn't! That made every drop of the pretty white stuff even more beautiful!! The boys LOVED it. The baby wasn't so sure.

We tried hard to make a snowman, but it was very dry snow and I couldn't get it to pack together...so this is our attempt! Not exactly a FROSTY. Give me credit anyway, trying to be a good mommy!! Yes, that is Mr. Potato Head parts. They work really well for little snowmen!

My Little Mover!

My little angel is officially on the move! 7-months and crawling.
I guess I don't blame her for quickly learning to get out of the way!!
I was hoping more activity on her part during the day would mean more sleeping at night...so far...just the opposite has happened. Guess she feels like she has places to go!
Watch out world there is another active little person emerging from my brood!!

A Budding Star???

My sweet little boy had his very first basketball game on Saturday! And he had a blast!! It was fun to watch. This game put those professional games to shame.

I asked him on the way home which was more fun basketball or t-ball. And after a few minutes of thought he said: "basketball". I DO believe that if it was t-ball season he might have said t-ball. Because remember, this is my child that told me his favorite sport is whatever season it is!!

He did GREAT. He is the tallest little guy out there. Now, we just need to work on his dribbling because he likes to pick the ball up and carry it to the basket. They did blow the whistle at him a couple of times, but thankfully his basket(s) still counted.

Poor Little Dog!!!

I thought since my last post was dog-related, I would share this...

Buppy(Buffy---her real name), my mom's dog, just loved this experience!! It is a good thing she is patient with him. She is always happy for us to come visit. And she is always happy for us to leave! Christmas lasted a long time for her this year. We were there with her and my parents over a week. Can you tell we had a blast???
